So last night I heard on the radio that the White Stripes are playing a concert in Toronto. Being a fan of the White Stripes and never seen them in concert, I'd figured I'd go. So I go online to order them from ticketmaster, and I decide to go for the cheapest tickets, which are lawn "seats" for CA $25.00, which seems very reasonable. However by the time I click through all the screens until I get the credit card info one, I'm looking at CA $44.25.
Apparently not included in the ticket price is: a convenience charge(I'm not quite sure what the convenience I'm being charged for is but..), a building facility charge, and since I chose to use my own printer to print the tickets out instead of at one their locations, CA $2.50 "TicketFast" fee.
Am I the only one that thinks some of these fees are ridiculous? I understand that Ticketmaster needs to make money but do they really need to charge me a fee so I can print my own tickets? Doesn't that save them money and time?
The real thing that irks me about this isn't the price though, as much as the fact that you don't find out the actual "cost" of the ticket until you get a couple screens in. I'd really just wish that they'd list the ticket price including the other fees they automatically charge you(and simply state the fees on the page). I'd least like to know how many ridiculous fees I'm paying from the get go.
